Beschreibung
Zusammenfassung:Humidifying apparatus comprises a base (70, figs 7a-d) having a chamber, a water tank 120 removably mounted on the base for supplying water to the chamber, a motor (92) driven impeller (90) generating an air flow, an inlet duct conveying the air flow to the chamber, a piezoelectric transducer humidifying means (156) humidifying the air flow with water from the chamber, an outlet duct conveying the humidified air flow from the chamber, and a lower internal surface of the water tank comprises a raised portion 128c and a feeder trough 128d which is lower than the raised portion when the tank is mounted on the base. An outlet of the water tank may be located in the trough. A sloping wall 172 may connect the raised portion to the trough. The trough may have a capacity of 150ml or less and contain a float 168 to detect water level. An external base surface 128 of the water tank may comprise a recessed portion 128b corresponding to the raised portion. The recessed portion may define an overflow chamber for water when the tank is mounted on the base.
