Zusammenfassung:A cap assembly 134 for conveying air into a container (120, fig 8b) and water from the container comprises a valve moveable from a first closed to a second open position to permit the flow of air and water through the cap. The cap comprises at least two apertures 332a, 332b through which the air and water can flow when the valve is open. The apertures are offset D1 with respect to one another along the longitudinal direction axis of the cap. Each aperture may be bean shaped and have a cross sectional area less than 10mm2. The offset distance may be at least 1mm. The cap may have a threaded cylindrical wall 320 to screw the cap onto the container. Intermediate each end of the cap is an annular wall comprising an upper section (328a, fig 9b) with a first aperture 332a located therethrough and a lower section (328b) with a second aperture 332b located therethrough. The upper and lower sections may be linked by a sloping intermediate section (328c). The valve may be a spring (340, fig 9c) loaded pin 334 and a sealing skirt 338. The cap may be used for a water tank on a humidifier.
