Zusammenfassung:An apparatus for removing fluid from a microscopic sample comprises a humidity chamber configured to control the humidity therein, and a sample clamp disposed within the humidity chamber and configured to clamp a sample support, loaded with a microscopic sample. The apparatus further comprises suction means 55 in Figure 3b configured to create suction at least adjacent to the sample to thereby remove fluid therefrom. The apparatus comprises treatment stations including humidity chamber 11, aqueous sample 23 is added via syringe 19 via hole 15 in mount 57 before placement in the hummitidty chamber 11 with holder 13 for sample support 1 (and clamp not shown)
