Zusammenfassung: | A child safety seat (20 fig. 1) includes a head rest (30 fig. 1) that is height adjustable with respect to the seat back (24 fig. 1), a headrest latching mechanism (46 fig. 1) coupling the headrest (30 fig. 1) to the seat back and comprising an adjustment actuator (48 fig. 1), such as a single pushbutton or lever, the headrest actuating mechanism (46 fig. 1) engaging a folding mechanism for folding the seat back (24 fig. 1) relative to the seat bottom (22 fig. 1). In the lowermost position of the headrest (30 fig. 1) the end of a slide rail (34 fig. 2) connected to the headrest (30 fig. 1) may contact the end of a pin driver 56 to move the pin driver 56 and thereby remove a fold pin 54 received in a receiver or cavity (60 fig. 11) of a pivot hub (26 fig. 1) and release a locking mechanism 50 such that the seat back (24 fig. 1) can fold relative to the seat bottom (22 fig. 1). The single pushbutton or lever (48 fig. 1) can actuate both the latching and locking mechanisms (46 fig. 1, 50) with a single hand for selectively adjusting the headrest position and seat back orientation. The seat back (24 fig. 1) may be removably coupled to the seat bottom (22 fig. 1). The seat bottom (22 fig. 1) may include a carry strap 78 having a first end coupled to a spring loaded retractor 76 and a second end removably coupled to a mating connector 74. |
