Zusammenfassung: | The method for modifying a bucket platform 120 of a turbine bucket 100 includes removing a portion of the bucket platform to form a void 150, wherein the void comprises a predetermined geometry. A filler material (135, Figure 5) is then added in layers (137) to fill the void. The method may be used to modify multiple bucket platforms. A modified turbine bucket includes an airfoil 110 extending from a bucket platform, a root portion 140 extending from an opposite side of the bucket platform and filler material disposed in layers that fills a previously formed void 150 comprising a predetermined geometry. The predetermined geometry may include one or more sidewalls having a non-vertical or tapering orientation. The sidewalls may be non-linear. The void may be formed on one or more edges of the bucket platform, may extend from a top surface to a side surface or be formed on a pressure side. Electrical discharge machining may be used to remove the portion. |
