A method, server, client and software

A client device comprises a communication unit 210 configured to receive a plurality of parameters and an image comprised of a plurality of segments or tiles of a captured scene. The parameters define at least a section of the segments of the image and associate co-ordinates of a cutout view of the segment with the image. A decoder is operable to decode the image. A processing unit is configured to receive the co-ordinates of the cut-out view for display on the client device and to define an area of the image to be displayed using the parameters and a display is configured to display the area of the image. A server is used to send the parameters and image. The device may be used to provide a user with different views of a soccer pitch, so as to allow a user to control the pitch zoom and yaw of a virtual camera. Each segment may have a high resolution and the image a 4k resolution.
