Zusammenfassung: | An ionisation chamber 2 for connection to a mass spectrometer, having a temperature-control block 14 with a gas inlet 14A and a gas channel which starts at the gas inlet and leads into a gas outlet 14B, a temperature-control device 16 is positioned along the gas channel and ensures that gas flowing in the gas channel is brought to a specific temperature, i.e. it is heated or cooled, before it enters the ionisation chamber; the temperature-control block has a formed part into which a structure of the gas channel is incorporated and which is fabricated by means of a sol-gel process. The formed part may be manufactured out of a glass or ceramic material. The gas channel may meander through the temperature control block. A second channel may be included which is a closed loop running inside and outside of the temperate controlled block and has a working medium which circulates continuously. |
