Data capture apparatus and method

A feedback monitoring system comprises a monitor 20 monitoring a real-time content feed provided to patrons 32, e.g. showing a film or a live performance, at a theme park, bus or train station, airport etc, surveying apparatus 36 capturing feedback and a correlation apparatus 40 correlating information about the event with the feedback received. The feedback may be in the form of a survey 36 filled in by patrons on exiting the event (Figure 2), may be gathered automatically such as using body counts to detect people leaving or face recognition to monitor reactions (Figure 3), or may be collected manually by an operative 42 answering questions on a tablet or the like 44. Simultaneous content feeds, such as multiple films being shown simultaneously at a cinema 12, 14, 16. The monitor may comprise digital cinema package (DCP) server 20 having a schedule thereon, indicating to the correlating device start and end times of the films, adverts, particular scenes or the like. Thus real-time audience reaction and feedback can be correlated for multiple events happening at the same time. The correlated data may be output as a log file or data stream.
