Zusammenfassung:	A flame simulating device 1 comprises an upper base 10, a flame element 20 suspended from the upper base 10, a light source (30, Fig. 3), and a driving assembly 40 below the flame element 20. The driving assembly 40 comprises an electromagnetic coil 41 and a second magnetic element (43, Fig. 2) wherein the electromagnetic coil 41 is energised to drive the second magnetic element 43 to move toward a first magnetic element (22, Figs. 2 & 3) on the bottom end of the flame element 20 to generate repellent magnetic forces to make the flame element 20 swing and simulate a visual effect of movement of a burning flame.
