Beschreibung
Zusammenfassung:	An actuator, a fibre tensioner for creel incorporating such an actuator, a creel and a method of operating a fibre tensioner are provided. The actuator 100 comprises: a housing 102 comprising a chamber 104, the chamber 104 having an aperture 106 for fluid communication with a source of pressurised fluid; a piston 108 having a head 110 for bearing on a member (54 in Figure 7); and a stem 112 for slideable location within the chamber 104. The stem 112 is configured to extend from, and retract into, the actuator chamber 104. The stem 112 comprises a passage 116 having a fluid orifice 118 for fluid communication with the chamber 104. The passage 116 opens at the head 110 of the piston 108 into an expansion chamber 120. The expansion chamber 120 has at least one wall 122 which is moveable relative to the piston head 110 in response to a change in fluid pressure delivered to the actuator 100.
