| Zusammenfassung: | An aircraft fuel system comprises a fuel storage facility 51 for storing fuel 53 and ullage 54, a separate ullage storage facility 62 for storing ullage, and a transfer arrangement 56, 61 for transferring ullage between the fuel storage facility and the ullage storage facility. The transfer arrangement is capable of controlling the transfer of ullage based on a pressure input to the transfer arrangement using a pressure control valve assembly 57. The invention also provides an aircraft 10 with such a fuel system and a method of operating such an aircraft. The fuel storage facility may comprise a fuel tank within an aircraft wing 20, 40 and the ullage storage facility may comprise a tank within a wing centre box 30. A surge/vent tank 52 may be located at an outboard tip of a wing. |
