Cancer training aid device

The invention relates to a cancer training aid for training a user to detect the presence of cancer in an organ or other part of the body. The device represents a simulated body part and comprises an outer surface and an inner core, wherein the outer surface 101 is configured to correspond to the texture of the body part and the inner core 102 is configured to correspond to the resistance of tissue within. The inner core additionally comprises at least one cancerous growth component 110, 111, 112 which simulate the presence of a cancerous growth within the organ. The device comprises a pressure detection means and a means for alerting the user when the correct pressure has been applied to the device. The device further comprises a reminder function configured to alert the user periodically. The invention also relates to a cancer training kit comprising said device and computer-readable storage medium comprising cancer training application software.
