| Zusammenfassung: | A mobile telecommunications network includes a mobile telecommunications device (UE) 1, a plurality of transceiver nodes (eNB) 5. Uplink and downlink association to transceiver nodes is decoupled such that a control means 21 selects a transceiver node for use by the mobile telecommunications device for uplink communications independently of the selection of a transceiver node for downlink communications. The selection of the transceiver node for uplink communications is based upon at least one criterion that is independent of received signal power/path loss, such as: the number of the transceiver node antennas; the antenna gain of the or each of the transceiver node antennas; the maximum uplink transmit power allowed by the transceiver node from the mobile telecommunications device; the load of the transceiver node; and/or the interference level in the uplink to the transceiver node from the mobile telecommunications device. |
