Polyaryletherketone, such as a PEEK, of repeat unit of formula and is characterised by phenylethynyl moiety end-capping. The Polyaryletherketone has a reduced viscosity of at least 0.6 dL/g. Also disclosed is a process and method for preparing the polyaryletherketone.
