The sealing and bearing unit 1 comprises a housing 10 preferably constituted in one piece with at least two openings for the at least two parallel shafts 2, 2. There are assigned to each opening at least one bearing 3, 3 for the rotational holding of the respective shaft 2, 2 in the housing 10 and at least one sealing means 5, 5 interposed between the housing 10 and the respective shaft 2, 2. Furthermore, there is assigned in each case to the respective at least one bearing 3, 3 and to the respective at least one sealing means 5, 5 at least one individual fixing 4, 4, 9, 9 for their independent connection to the housing 10. A method of separating the sealing and bearing unit 1 from the at least two parallel shafts 2, 2 is also provided.
