Zusammenfassung:A laser target 800 which comprises a body 802, a contact element with a spherical region, a retro-reflector 804, a transmitter 830 and a temperature sensor 832; wherein the temperature sensor 832 measures the air temperature and sends it to the transmitter 830. The contact element, retroreflector 804, transmitter 830 and temperature sensor 832 are coupled to the body 802. The temperature sensor 832 may be a thermistor, RTD or thermocouple. The temperature sensor 832 may be disposed in a protector member, which is coupled to the body 802 and may also include an open end, perforations or an insulation member between the temperature sensor 832 and the body 802. The temperature sensor 832 may be coupled to the body 802 via an interface member 820. The air temperature may be used to correct for thermal expansion coefficients of the retroreflector 804 and the body 802, or for the change in refractive index of the air.
