Electric device

An electrical device comprises a frame guard having a first guard portion 31A above the device, a second guard portion 31B below and frontward of the device and a third guard portion (31C, Figure 3 ) below and rearward of the device. The first guard portion may be used as a carrying handle. The frame guard may comprise curved or arcuate portions 32, 33 connecting the guard portions 31A-C to form a generally elongate triangular frame with rounded ends. The frame guard may be connected to an electrical device such as a music or radio player used in a workplace or construction site such that the device is located wholly within the frame guard. The electrical device may also be of generally elongate triangular form with display 12 and operating 11 sections located on an inclined surface. A connector comprising a plurality of connector units may be provided for connecting a variety of different external portable acoustic reproducing devices to the electrical device. The connector may comprise first and second connection portions (42, 43, Figure 9A) arranged at an angle to each other. A mounting portion (13a, Figure 5) for an acoustic reproducing device is provided behind a cover 13 of the electrical device.
