Zusammenfassung: | A method and apparatus for correcting operating set points of an internal combustion engine, the engine being connected to an air intake duct having a mass airflow sensor, and to an exhaust pipe having an oxygen sensor. The method comprising the steps of: predetermining an oxygen sensor time correction factor 520 representative of a delay between a combustion event in an engine cylinder, and a measurement in the exhaust of the air-to-fuel ratio produced; calculating a fuel injection error quantity as a difference between a nominal fuel quantity and an estimated fuel quantity 530 injected into the cylinder, the nominal fuel quantity being determined for an injection that precedes the measurement of an air-to-fuel ratio value by the oxygen sensor time correction factor, the estimated fuel quantity being determined as a function of an air mass flow value and of the measured air-to-fuel ratio value, and correcting the operating set points 550 of the internal combustion engine using the calculated fuel injection error quantity 540. |
