| Zusammenfassung: | An ultrasonic detection method includes providing an ultrasonic detection system 100 having a transmitting phased array device 120 and a receiving phased array device 130. A phased array wave 115 is transmitted through a revolutionary body 106, such as a turbine rotor, from the device 120 to the receiving device 130, thereby obtaining ultrasonic detection information about the body 106. Further, the method includes positioning the devices 120, 130 on a periphery of a turbine rotor, transmitting a phased array wave 115 into the rotor, the phased array wave not reflecting off of a reflecting feature 114, adjusting the positions of the devices 120, 130 on the periphery of the rotor, and transmitting the phased array wave 115 into the rotor, the phased array wave reflecting off of the reflecting feature 114 to the receiving device 130. Plural transmitting and receiving phased array devices may be used. |
