Vehicle headlamp

A headlamp 1 of a vehicle, with a light source 2, and an optical system, which is arranged after the light source in a path of a light beam, wherein the light beam substantially consists of a directed main beam and a component of undirected diffused light. The optical system further comprises an optical lens body 5. A cover screen 10, is arranged parallel to the directed main beam, after the optical system. A plate/heat sink 11, for discharging heat, is arranged after the cover screen. The cover screen has an aperture (Figure 2, 13) which opens the space between the optical system and the heat plate. The undirected diffused light of the light source substantially radiates through the aperture in the cover screen onto the plate. A covering glass 12, forms a front cover of the headlamp.
