A cover plate 104 having a plurality of slots 106 arranged around a perimeter 105 of the plate 104 is provided and the cover plate 104 is attached to a top surface of the device. The cover plate 104 is movable between an initial position and a blast force position to diminish the blast forces from reaching an occupant of the cabin.
