Zusammenfassung: | A microstructured matrix for generating and. cultivating uniform cell aggregations is provided. Between two adjacent recessions, which can be used for receiving cells for generating and cultivating the uniform cell aggregations, a partition wall is provided. The partition wall has a shape, which facilitates a transport of cells by gravity from a distal end of the partition wall into at least one of the first recession and the second recession. Consequently, sedimentation of cells on horizontal parts of the partition wall is avoided. Such matrix geometry can advantageously be provided by the production method as presented herein. The method also comprises the step of providing a solid state body which is then processed by machining into a matrix model. The mechanical aspects of producing such a model, which arc presented herein, allow for advantageous geometries of the matrix on a very small scale. Particularly in view of the embodiments described in the figures, an improved matrix for facilitating the generation and. cultivation of cell aggregations and the optical read-out is provided. |
