Zusammenfassung: | An interconnection medium (e.g. printed circuit board) comprises a ground plane 503, a first balanced antenna 501 and a second balanced antenna 502 both located in planes parallel to the ground plane 503. The electric and magnetic fields radiated by the first balanced antenna 501 are orthogonal to the electric and magnetic fields radiated by the second balanced antenna 502, respectively. The first balanced antenna 501 may be a dipole antenna and the second balanced antenna 502 may be a slot antenna. The balanced antennas 501 and 502 may be complementary antennas so that a radiation null of the first balanced antenna 501 may be directed at a radiation null of the second balanced antenna 502. The arrangement may improve the isolation between the antennas. This may reduce mutual interference when the antennas communicate in overlapping frequency bands, or improve the effectiveness of spatial diversity applications. |
