Zusammenfassung:	A sound and vibration absorbing and blocking device is provided. The device comprises a sandwich adapted to support a sound and vibration emitting device 17 that rests upon it. The sandwich comprises in turn: a cushion layer 7 in contact with a surface of a hard dense base later 1 which is in contact with a layer of sound absorbing material 10 that is in contact with a smooth surface of a dense case 6. Matching acoustic apertures 5 are present in the cushion layer 7 and the base layer 1; and case apertures 8 are present in the case 6. The sandwich is supported on point contacts 11 to generally spherical feet 3 which form point contacts 12 with the ground.
