Remote controlled power socket with integrated control unit

A remote controlled socket assembly for a wall has a live wire 112, a neutral wire 111 and a main control apparatus 20. An earth wire 113 may also be provided. Within the main control apparatus 20, the live wire 112 connects to a live connection wire 26 via a live wire fixer and the neutral wire 111 connects to a neutral connection wire 25 via a neutral wire fixer. The connection wires 25, 26 connect to the outlet face 40. A power control module is connected to the fixers and, responsive to a control signal from the remote control 30, disconnects the wires 111, 112 from the connection wires 25, 26. The main control apparatus 20 may have a shell 21 and an antenna unit for wireless communication with the remote control 30. The power control module may comprise a load adapter and driver. The main control apparatus may execute a learning mode to store the output commands of the remote control 30.
