Electronic Circuit Cover and Airflow Guide

An apparatus 10 for protecting an electronic circuit from an airflow; the apparatus 10 comprises a base 12, wherein said base 12 comprises a cover means for covering at least part of the electronic circuit, said apparatus further comprises a guide means for guiding an airflow around the electronic circuit. Also disclosed is a method of protecting an electronic circuit from an airflow, the method comprising: mechanically covering at least part of the electronic circuit; and guiding the airflow around the electronic circuit, wherein the method is performed using the above apparatus. Further disclosed is a method of designing the above apparatus, the method comprising: selecting an electronic component to be protected; determining the location of said component; determining at least one of: a predicted temperature or target temperature of the component during operation; determining the predicted cooling effect of an airflow; using said determined information to calculate any requires for said apparatus; and outputting a design of said apparatus as a result of said calculations.
