Zusammenfassung:A hand operated implement comprising a cutting chain 9 for cutting mineral and metal materials having a drive motor which drives a sprocket 23. A guide bar 8 with first and second turning areas (at the drive sprocket 23 and distal end, respectively) has a central longitudinal axis 38 and is secured in place by at least one fixing bolt 13, 15. The chain 9 runs around the guide bar 8 with the cutting elements 47 having their tops 52 facing away from the guide bar 8. The sides of these cutting elements 47 facing the side wall 29 define a first notional plane 78, which runs parallel to the plane of the guide bar 8. There is a device for feeding liquid to the cutting chain 9 for lubrication and/or cooling purposes. The sprocket 23 is located within a sprocket chamber 32 delineated by a sprocket cover 7, the chamber 32 having a side wall 29, an entry opening 33, an exit opening 34 and at least one outlet opening 35, which is defined over angle alpha. The cutting element 47 is laterally spaced from the side wall 29 and the peripheral wall 30 by distances k and i, respectively. There is a second notional plane 61 defined as perpendicular to the first notional plane and contains the central axis 57 of the fixing bolt 13, and this side wall is less than 0.8 cm from the side wall 29.
