Zusammenfassung: | The claims specify obtaining quality of service (QoS) information related to a user identity (ID) and embedding the QoS into a token which can then be used to log on to a network for access. In the embodiments a user 10 makes a purchase in an establishment (eg. coffee shop) which provides a Wi-Fi hot-spot 14 for customer use. The user identifies themselves to a point of sale (POS) 16 (eg. using a loyalty card) and the retailer network obtains QoS data related to the ID. The POS generates a token including the QoS data and prints it on to a receipt 20 as a QR code 22, for example. The users device 18 (eg. Smart Phone) scans the QR code to extract the token. The device 18 may then access the network 14 using the token. The token may be a URL and may be time limited using a time-stamp. |
