Zusammenfassung:A system for transmitting information in a wireless network includes at least one mobile transponder 12, each transponder adapted to be worn on the person of a user. The transponder communicates with an area controller gateway (AGC) 16 which controls and manages an area of the network. The area controller gateway is operatively connected via an Internet or cellular link to a central monitoring station 14 adapted to receive information from the transponder and to transmit other information to the transponder. The transponder is dynamically registered when located in an ACG area. The system may include a repeater adapted to receive information from transponder and to transmit said information to the area controller gateway. The transponder may be a duress pendant to provide duress panic alarm notification. The transponder may also act as an access control device.
