Zusammenfassung:An flow integration apparatus 142 (see fig 18) for introducing a second flow into a first flow comprises a first conduit carrying the first flow with means for generating a vortex in the first flow, and a second conduit for carrying the second flow wherein the second conduit has an outlet arranged to introduce the second flow into the vortex in the first flow. The flow integration apparatus forms part of a pipeline compression system for a multiphase flow of gas, solid and liquid. The systems comprises a compressor 102, a motor 104 for driving the compressor, a heat exchanger 134, a separator 110 with liquid transport channel 112 which is arranged upstream of the compressor and separates liquids and solids out of the flow, and the flow integration apparatus 142 which is connected to the transport channel 112 and introduces the liquids and solids back into the flow, downstream of the compressor. The system may include a slug detection system. A seal assembly for sealing between a housing and a shaft rotatably mounted in the housing, and a coupling assembly between an output shaft of a motor, and an input shaft of a machine are also disclosed.
