Zusammenfassung: | A cleaner head 10 for a surface treating appliance comprises a body 12 that includes a suction opening through which air flow enters the cleaner head, with the body 12 having at least one floor engaging portion 20, 47, 48, 50 formed from material comprising a dispersion of carbon nanotubes within a polymer matrix. The arrangement disperses static electricity residing on a surface over which the cleaner head 10 is being manoeuvred. The material may comprises up to 5% by weight of carbon nanotubes and the polymer matrix may include one of a polyamide, polypropylene, thermoplastic polyurethane, polycarbonate and polybutylene terephthalate. The at least one floor engaging portion may form part of a support member such as a wheel 48, 50 or skid. The surface treating appliance may be a vacuum cleaner with other parts of the appliance also being formed from the material. |
