Zusammenfassung:A vacuum cleaner base comprises a motor 187 including a shaft, a first wheel mount 107 and a second wheel mount, wherein the first and second wheel mounts 107 are coaxial and the motor 187 is disposed in the first wheel mount 107. The first and second wheel mounts 107 are preferably non-rotating with the first wheel mount 107 being made from magnesium. Also disclosed is a vacuum cleaner base comprising a roller bearing and a wheel disposed on the roller bearing, wherein the height of the vacuum cleaner base is less than an outer diameter of the wheel 108 and a vacuum cleaner base which has an operational component positioned within a rear portion of the base and a bearing assembly (fig 4) including an aperture, wherein the aperture has a diameter greater than the height of the operational component. The operational component is preferably a motor coil.
