Zusammenfassung:	A radiation detector module comprises a radiation detector, power source and wireless communication means all housed within a flame-proof enclosure. The enclosure has a portion through which wireless transmissions can pass, formed of a static dissipative non-conductive plastic meeting resistance specifications of BS EN 60079-0:2004 (26.13). The radiation detector is designed to be suitable for use in a hazardous area containing a potentially explosive gas mixture according to BS EN 60079-1:2007.
