Device and method of outputting information regarding a vehicle

In order to impart a driver with an improved knowledge of vehicle functions, a device comprises a first storage means such as memory chips 1 for retrievably storing items of information, a first means 3 which determines a workload of the driver that may include dynamic vehicle data such as acceleration, pitch, yaw etc, a second means such as central computer 5 that provides an associated priority to each item of information, and an output means such as a monitor 7. If the determined workload undershoots a predetermined limit workload, the item of information with the highest priority is output via the output means 7, wherein the second means 5 is embodied and equipped in such a manner, that following outputting of an item of information through the output means 7, the priority of this item of information is reduced.
