Zusammenfassung: | Assistance is provided for a driver of a motor vehicle 1 for reversing out of a parking space 3 which is transverse to a driving off direction. The process includes the step of determining lateral boundary lines 15.1, 15.2 of the parking space 3, defining a curve direction for the maneuver and automatic implementation of driving movement. The movement is firstly in reverse in a straight line until a rear corner 29 of an adjacent object 7 inside the curve is detected, followed by setting of a steering lock with maximum possible build-up of yaw angle if an adjacent object 7 inside the curve has been detected. Alternatively, if an adjacent object 7 is absent, steering lock is set with maximum possible build-up of yaw angle, and automatic reversing of the motor vehicle 1 is implemented along a curve predetermined by the steering lock. If the object 7 is present, the steering lock is defined to achieve or exceed minimum spacing from objects 7,9 inside and outside the curve. Where appropriate, an automatic forward driving movement (35 see fig 2) is conducted with a steering lock with maximally possible build-up of yaw angle, so that a minimum spacing from adjacent objects 7,9 is not fallen short of, in the opposite direction to the reversing steering lock. The invention further relates to a driving-assistance system for implementing the process. Advantages include not reversing unnecessarily dangerously far back, especially when there is a narrow parking space. |
