Zusammenfassung:Pollutant removal system 100 for use with a power generation system comprising: a particulate control device 14 configured to remove particulates from a flue gas stream (46), particulate control device 14 being cleaned on a predetermined cleaning cycle; and sorbent control system 102 for controllably injecting a sorbent into the flue gas stream (46) upstream of particulate control device 14, sorbent control system 102 being configured to adjust a sorbent injection rate as a function of the cleaning cycle. Also claimed is a method for removing pollutants from a flue gas stream comprising: receiving a flue gas stream including a plurality of pollutants; channeling the flue gas stream through at least one filet; executing a cleaning cycle to remove particulates from the filter; and controllably injecting sorbent into the flue gas where the sorbent is at least partially retained by the filter, and the sorbent injection rate is a function of the cleaning cycle.
