Zusammenfassung:A mud pulse telemetry system 100 including a combination rotor stator 102 inside a drill pipe, the combination can create a pressure pulse in a fluid. There is also a control module 108 configured to receive data from a downhole component and act upon the rotor stator based upon the data, a valve (206, figure 2) and valve actuator (202, figure 2), the valve configured to convey fluid from inside the drill pipe to an annulus and reduce a pressure in the fluid, and an up hole detection arrangement (230, figure 2) to measure pressure pulses. A second invention is characterized by a rotor/stator producing a positive pressure pulse, and a valve producing a negative pressure pulse, and then a second negative pressure pulse. A third invention is characterized by a valve control module which is configured to act upon a control valve based upon data from a downhole component.
