Zusammenfassung:	A method of monitoring and/or controlling a lyophilization (freeze drying) process by continuously monitoring the mobility of electrical charges in a substance undergoing lyophilization comprises; providing a substance to undergo lyophilization and a receptacle for the substance with at least two sensing electrodes and at least one ground electrode; subjecting the receptacle and the substance to lyophilization; applying a voltage to the substance by connecting the sensing electrodes to an electrical power source; measuring a frequency response indicative of the mobility of electrical charges in the substance as a function of the voltage; calculating an electrical parameter indicative of the mobility of electrical charges as a function of the frequency response; evaluating a product parameter based on the calculated electrical parameter; and repeating the measurement steps continuously throughout lyophilization.
