Zusammenfassung:	In response to a request to view process data via a web browser, a server 104 is identified that stores the requested process data and the process data is retrieved from the server 104. An extensible stylesheet language transformation (XSLT) template is selected on the basis of a property of the process data, and a display file to specify how the process data is to be displayed is generated conforming to a web browsing format based on the XSLT template, the property of the process data, and the process data itself. The web browsing format in which the process data is to be displayed is preferably HTML and the XSLT template is preferably generated based on an electronic device description language (EDDL) file that defines how the process data is to be displayed.
