Zusammenfassung: | A cellular telecommunications network includes a core 40 and a remote entity such as mobile terminal 1. It is known in the prior art to restrict access to particular types of content on the internet such as pornography by maintaining in the network core a service information database containing the URLs/URIs of restricted content. The core includes a decision point 32 for deciding whether the entity may access a service and for issuing a decision accordingly. The entity includes means for receiving the decision and for controlling access by the entity to the service in accordance with the decision. In this way, the decision is made centrally in the network core 40 by the decision point 32 whilst in contrast to the known art, the decision is executed at the entity (mobile terminal 1) and only one database of service information is necessary. |
