Zusammenfassung: | Embodiments of the invention relate generally to rotor installation systems and, more particularly, to permanent magnet rotor installation systems, including those having an in situ magnetizer 1200 or magnet insertion device (figs 7,8). In one embodiment, the invention provides a rotor installation system comprising: at least one magnetizer 1200 for permanently magnetizing a ferromagnetic material 2110A, 2110B...2102n; and an arbor 1100 for receiving a rotor 2100 having at least one portion including a ferromagnetic material 2110A, 2110B...2102n, wherein the at least one magnetizer 1200 is positioned relative to the arbor 1100 to allow permanent magnetization of the ferromagnetic material 2110A, 2110B...2102n. The rotor is then transported axially and mounted into the stator 2200 which is supported on arbor 1300. After insertion into the stator, the rotor may be driven for balancing procedures by motor 1400. In an alternative embodiments a welding torch 1534 is disclosed mounted on the arbor by support 1510 to allow welding connections between components of the electric machine e.g. rotor and/or stator parts. |
