Sandwich box with separable portions

A sandwich box formed from a series of parts is described that can be gradually dismantled so as to allow a sandwich contained within the box to be eaten without any part of the sandwich being touched by a consumer. The box comprises two main compartments 1a, 1b each part being subdivided into further parts 3a, 3b, 3c, 3d. All of the parts 3a, 3b, 3c, 3d are separated from each other by perforated strips 4a, 4b, 4c such that the consumer simply tears the strips 4a, 4b, 4c, removes the relevant part 3a, 3b, 3c, 3d and discards it as necessary. The box may also include a tissue contained therein for removal of a final part of the sandwich.
