Preferably the impact surface extends substantially perpendicular to a longitudinal axis of the body and the weighting means are located adjacent to the front end of the body. Optionally the weights are formed of plastics material and the fins are located adjacent the rear end of the body. The body may also comprise sensor means which, when a player punches the impact surface activate a sound generation means.
