Zusammenfassung: | Various subsystems 105 of a drilling rig each have their own controls, graphical user interface, and unique operating protocol. A central control node 125 on the rig is operated using a single operating protocol, it has a single interface and set of controls. The central control node monitors and controls the subsystems, via their proprietary protocols. The central control node connects to a remote client 150, via a secure network 130, where the interface and controls can be replicated. A program, when run, from a storage medium via a processor, initiates the monitoring and control of the system. The processor and storage medium may be within a terminal server 135 connecting the remote client to the network. The subsystem's individual interfaces are preferably updated after being centrally or remotely controlled. A control sequence may be recorded, saved, optimised, and played back to the specific subsystem. There may be multiple remote clients and/or multiple rigs. |
