Zusammenfassung:	A vehicle having a plurality of wheels (5, 7, Figure 1) and elements to drive at least one wheel to propel the vehicle is provided with a frame (3, Figure 1) and a power supply assembly (10a, 10b, Figure 1) for delivering power to the drive elements. The power supply assembly (10a, 10b) includes a battery or two batteries and a housing or pair of housings 30 surrounding the batteries. The power supply assembly is removably supported on the vehicle frame (3). A latching mechanism 38 is provided having a pivoting actuator. The actuator moves between a locking position and a release position. The actuator movement displacing a pin 42 disposed in combination with the housing between a locking position, wherein the pin (42) fixedly engages the power supply assembly to the frame (3), and a release position, wherein the pin (42) disengages and permits the power supply assembly to be removed from the frame.
