Flow restricting valves
A flow restricting valve comprises a valve chamber 26 which has a first valve seat 20 and a second valve seat 27 opposite the first valve seat, and a valve member 23 in the chamber. A spring 24 urges the valve member toward the first valve seat. The seat is profiled to provide a bypass (31, Fig. 6)...

Zusammenfassung: | A flow restricting valve comprises a valve chamber 26 which has a first valve seat 20 and a second valve seat 27 opposite the first valve seat, and a valve member 23 in the chamber. A spring 24 urges the valve member toward the first valve seat. The seat is profiled to provide a bypass (31, Fig. 6) which allows restricted flow through the chamber when the valve member is urged against the first valve seat 20. The valve member 23 is engageable with the second seat 27 in response to excessive inlet pressure. Flow past the valve member 23 is prevented when the valve member engages the second valve seat 27. The valve is connected between a first flow passage (28, Fig. 3) and a second flow passage (29, Fig. 3) and the flow passages are connected in parallel with the valve by another flow restricting valve, which preferably comprises a second valve similar to the first but disposed in reverse. |
