A golf club bag and method of manufacture

Disclosed is a golf club bag 100 comprising top 115 and bottom 120 members, a body portion 125 coupled to each of said members, and at least one stay 140, 142 extending from proximate the top member to proximate the bottom member. At least one external support member 160, 162 is provided to support the body portion at an angle 170 to the ground, whilst the bottom member optionally lies parallel to the ground. The at least one stay is not coupled to the bottom member but may be coupled to the top member, possibly by means of a friction fitting 145, 147. An intermediate member (280, figure 2), which is preferably arcuate, may extend around the circumference of the bag. Optionally, the lower end of one or more stays may couple to said intermediate member or alternatively to the body portion of the bag. Also disclosed is a method of manufacture.
