PIPD fibres in wind turbine blades

A wind turbine blade comprises a composite material including poly{2,6-diimidazo[4-5-b:4',5'- e]pyridinylene-1,4-(2,5- dihydroxy)phenylene} fibres. The composite material may be included in aspar cap of the blade. Compressive strength is significantly improved.
