Beschreibung
Zusammenfassung:	A tail support vehicle 500 is provided for moving a swing tail cargo door 416 of a swing tail aircraft 400. A method is provided wherein loads on a hinge and/or on the swing tail cargo door 416 are reduced during the movement of the swing tail cargo door 416 using the mobile tail support apparatus 500. The apparatus 500 comprises a hydraulic accumulator (314 see fig 3) for constant support loading, a cross track slide (316 see fig 3) and a lockable ball coupling mechanism (308 see fig 3). These provide for horizontal motion which is isolated from rotational motion. The accumulator (314) provides a reaction to vertical loads. Sensors (1308-1314 see fig 13) are provided for vertical load, radial slide position and relative angles.
