The heating means may be electrical or circulating fluid in tunnels or pipes. The plank may have means to connect to adjacent like planks, including electrical connection or connection of fluid tunnels. The plank may have a covering layer which may include components of an alarm system, such as an intruder alarm, or lighting means. The heating means may be received in grooves 118, 119 in the core.
